The Western Outer Ring Main is a major gas transmission pipeline project delivered by APA Group to strengthen gas supply capacity across Melbourne’s western and northern growth corridors.
The project involves the installation of approximately 51 kilometres of large-diameter gas pipeline connecting Plumpton to Wollert.
Works are being staged across multiple sections to minimise disruption to traffic, residents and existing infrastructure.
Extensive coordination is required with other utility owners given the scale and route length of the pipeline corridor.
Key aspects of the project include:
